Trying a new way of coloring skin. and omg, an attempt at a background.  her tongue's sticking out b/c I was gonna make it striped, then decided against it at the last minute. I might post the other version up. Maybe. [her tongue was purple & black] 3 hours. Photoshop Elements 3.0. Wacom Graphire Tablet. 31+ layers. Critique Encouraged Sorry, guys. If you go to the drop down menu in the options palette, there will be another drop-down box that says "default brushes."
Click that and there should be a lot of other brush options.

The background is fantastic, but in this case, it would look better if you outlined each individual brick in black; seeing as how all the lines in Mayu are very bold. Try and balance it better.
As always, Mayu is incredibly kawaii - but her nose isn't that big *pokes*
Come to think of it, the whole picture would look better if it wasn't for the bold outlining in Mayu. Her hair, for example. It'd look a bit more realistic without the outlining.
As for the tongue, some people actually DO have tongues like that. Like.. me >>;
